Kaylee turned 2 on Friday the 13th and we had a party for her on Saturday. Lots of her favorite people were there. It was a really fun day. Matt and I spent some of last week remembering the day Kaylee was born and the weeks leading up to it and the four weeks she spent in the hospital after it. We are just amazed at how she came into the world so small and now how quickly she has gotten so big and now has turned two. We thank God everyday for how blessed we are to have her in our life and how she has brought us more happiness than we could have ever imagined possible.
Welcome to our blog. God has truly blessed us with a wonderful family and great friends. Thanks for checking in!!

Happy Halloween
Kaylee had her first experience trick-or-treating. We borrowed a duck costume from our neighbors little girl and joined our friends from our old neighborhood for the evening. Kaylee caught on right away on how to go to the door and put a piece of candy in her bag. She had a lot of fun walking around with all the kids. We had a wonderful Halloween! Now we just need to hide all of her candy!

more summer fun
Kaylee has been enjoying the summer and being outdoors. We spend some time over the 4th of July at my parents house enjoying it there one last time since they sold it and are moving also. Kaylee will miss Jeter and the cat and the pool and the big yard. We also just moved from our old house into a new one. We love it but it is a lot of change all at once.

We have a little fish!!
Kaylee has been spending a lot of time in different pools this past week and last because of the hot weather. She loves the water and is not afraid of her head going under or does not seem to mind any of the different temperatures of the pools. She spent sometime in her baby pool on our deck and then last weekend ventured out to our friend's Megan and Jason's neighborhood pool which she loved. It has a fun fountain in the middle of it. Yesterday we headed to another neighborhood pool with our friends and neighbors from across the street, Courtney and her two kids. We love summer!!

Outside playing
We are so thankful for the warm weather and the beginning of summer. Kaylee has already spend many hours outside and loves it. She goes straight for her shoes and the front door when she gets up!! Our new house is also moving along. The have all the siding on the outside and it is also painted the color we picked. The inside has the all the duct work done and the plumbing. We are waiting for the electric and then the dry wall.

New House!!
We decided back in March to put our house on the market and build a little larger home. It is a neighborhood just up the road from where we live now. Our house sold in 12 days (praise God) and they are allowing us to rent it until the end of July when our new house will be ready. We close this Friday. Our new house is coming along and I wanted to share some pictures of the progress. It is fun to see all the new things that keep happening with it every day. We are really excited to have some more space for Kaylee's expanding bigger toy collection and to have an area where Matt can work from home if he needs to where there is some privacy. We will also have a basement which we don't have now! To top off our excitement my brother and sister-in-law are building in our new neighborhood also. It will be so great to have them within walking distance.

Florida trip
Matt, Kaylee and I headed down south with my brother and sister-in-law for a weeks vacation to Destin, FL. There we met up with my mom and dad and several of their friends and their kids. It was a fun time and Kaylee really enjoyed having the waves get her little feet and by the end of the week she learned to walk in the sand!! We are definitely ready for the weather to warm up and to be outside as much as possible.

snow
Time to play out in the snow!! Well maybe not yet for Kaylee. We put her outside in the snow for a minute and she didn't seem to happy about it. I don't think she likes having lots of layers and gloves on. She looked pretty cute though. We are surrounded by 10 inches of snow and I'm sure lots of kids will be playing down our sledding hill later today. Also, my Uncle Tom sent us a Arizona Cardinals hat so we can root them on this weekend in the Super Bowl. Kaylee tried it on for a picture! As you can see she doesn't like having hats on. :)
